The Gift Of Knitting - Flax.
I am happy to say that Flax is cherished and being worn... mostly by me :) It is my first (and I suspect the last) hand knit gift for my husband. It fits him perfectly, but as I am the one who is always freezing during the mornings and evenings, the sweater slowly moved to my clothes shelf. The weather is really strange here, I am still getting used to it. The mornings and evenings are cold enough for a sweater, boots and a light coat, but during the day the summer dress is perfect. I guess it is due to the fact that the town is close to the mountains. The sweater is quiet loose (4-6" of ease) and long for me. I think my A. is wearing it with negative ease, but this way it makes the sweater even more cozy for me. I love extra long textured sleeves! It just occurred to me that this is the first time in my life, at least from what I remember, when I am wearing 100% wool sweater. In Baja it was all about cotton and unfortunately wool wasn't suitable at all for the desert heat. Back in Russia it was freezing, but I wasn't knitting and didn't have any idea about fiber. Wool had a place in my wardrobe only in the form of acrylic blends. I have my hand knit cotton sweaters here and they are perfect for cool, but not cold temperatures, but when I put Flax on, oh my, I feel with every inch of my skin how the wool is wrapping me with the cloud of warmth.
I promise I'll let my hubby to borrow a sweater. Maybe :)

I hope you are having a wonderful week!
