Rain Textured Stitch. Explained.

Rain sweater pattern is already several years old and I keep seeing more and more versions of it on your needles. Even though the pattern itself has both written and chart instructions for the textured stitch I chose for it, I still feel that more visuals would be helpful. Hence a new video on ‘for the love of knitwear‘ YouTube channel:

I always loved two techniques in knitting - slipped stitches and the traveling cable. I decided it would be interesting to combine those two techniques in one and the is how the Rain sweater idea came to life. I called it Rain because of the visual effect created by the slip stitch columns "dropping" down the sweater fabric. You can use this stitch for the variety of projects - even if you are making a simple stockinette stitch sweater following the pattern, you can still experiment and add this touch of texture to a sleeve cuff to make it more fun to knit and wear.

See you on YouTube!
