GAUGE

14.5 sts and 20 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Garter st with size A needles in Main Yarn after blocking.

The gauge for the other sts is listed in the pattern file.

YARN

Main Yarn: 7 (7, 8, 8, 8) (9, 9, 9) skeins of Concept, 70% cotton/30% virgin wool in Light grey (#106). Worsted weight (115 yds/1¾ oz // 105 mts/50 g). Or any other merino/merino blend yarn that gives you the gauge.

For substitutions, avoid heavily variegated, fantasy or any fuzzy yarns. Make sure the yarn gives you a crisp stitch definition. Acrylic blends with wool or cotton will also work for this pattern.

Contrast Yarn: 2 skeins of Concept, 70% cotton/30% virgin wool in Blue grey (#141).

Mohair Yarn: 1 skein of Valley Yarns Southampton, 72% kid mohair, 28% mulberry silk. DK weight (230 yds/25 g). Or any other mohair yarn.

Color of Mohair yarn should be the lighter version of Main Yarn color to achieve the subtle color contrast.

Note - the yardage is an estimate and may vary with the tension of your knitting and modifications you are making.
