Gauge:

21 sts and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in St st with size A needles in Main Yarn after blocking.

Gauges for all the cable panels are listed in the pattern.

Yarn:

Main Yarn: (7, 7, 8, 8) (8, 9, 9, 9) skeins of Concept Atenea by Katia , 42% virgin wool, 40% cotton, 18% cashmere in color #090. Sport weight (191 yds/¾ oz // 175 mts/25 g). Or any other wool blend yarn that gives you the gauge.

For substitutions, avoid heavily variegated, fantasy or any fuzzy yarns. Make sure the yarn gives you a crisp stitch definition. Acrylic blends with wool or cotton will also work for this pattern.

Contrast Yarn: 1 skein of Valley Yarns Southampton, 72% kid mohair, 28% mulberry silk. DK weight (230 yds/25 g). Or you can use the same yarn you worked the main body in a different color.

Note - the yardage is an estimate and may vary with the tension of your knitting and modifications you are making.

Needles:

Size A (for main fabric) - 32" [81 cm] circular needle in size to obtain gauge. Suggested size: US #7 (4.5 mm).

Size B (for ribbing) - 32" [81 cm] circular needle in size to obtain gauge. Suggested size: US #6 (4 mm).
