October seems to be a favorite month of all crafters. The seasons click and you feel like it is time to start a new project or a new life... I hope your October brought you coziness, inspiration and peace!This month I would love to take you to the cultural heart of Mexico - to the beautiful center of San Miguel de Allende. Every single stone in this place is history. The grand and magnificent La Parroquia is the center of attention.Built in the 17th century in the traditional Mexican style, it was rebuilt two centuries later with the current Gothic façade that was inspired by European churches. There is something magical about it and I always stop there in awe when passing by.The main square attracts thousands of people. The mornings are quiet and lit with sunshine, but weekends explode with crowds of people coming to visit from all parts of Mexico and the world. It's enough to just pass by and hear English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese and now Russian, of course :) Live music, dancing, little cafes... It's all a part of the charm of this truly magical place. If you ever decide to visit Mexico, this place is a must to see!Well, that's it for the sightseeing this month, let's get to crafty notes!

October Crafty Notes

Two projects came off the needles and a crochet hook this month. Flax was finally finished after the first fail. Now I have to really fight for it - my hubby appreciated how warm and comfortable it is. So I guess I should make a classic warm sweater for myself in November. The Crochet Gift found its home and its little owner doesn't want to take it off, according to his Mom. Oh, this makes me really happy!As for WIPs, I have so many things going on at the same time, but they are all in swatch stages yet. The only WIP that started to take shape is my Fall Raglan for My Fall KAL. It's growing steadily and I can't stop. It's so addicting to see how the colors blend and feel the softness of this cotton in my hands. I have a feeling that it will really bloom after blocking!
