Knitting and Reading Yarn Along

Today I am joining Ginny from Small Things for Yarn Along. I always enjoy her Yarn Along collections. It’s amazing how many people are creating at the same time from the different parts of the world.

As for me I am still working on swatches for my St. Brigid project. As I plan to do a few modifications, I need to take time to properly check the gauge to avoid knitting disasters. I am starting a new book “Paris to the Moon” by Adam Gopnik, a chronicle of an American writer living in Paris. When I first picked it up, it reminded me of my favorite book – Ernest Hemingway’s “A Moveable Feast”.

Excellent book recommendation. Love how it reminds you of, ” A Moveable Feast”. That means, I really must pick that book up.

ooh, that yarn is going to be beautiful for your St. Brigid! And A Moveable Feast is such a great book, although I think my favorite Hemingway is The Sun Also Rises. How are you enjoying Paris to the Moon?

I love all books by Hemingway, but “A Moveable Feast” just took my heart away. I’m in the first pages of “Paris to the Moon”, I am really enjoying it! I wish I had more time for reading it…

what a glorious way to spend a rainy day. I’m currently knitting up some beautiful yarn but I chose a very tedious pattern – ho hum. But the book I’m reading is Purple Hyacinth and it definitely is not tiresome. Happy New Year.
