Knit Dress. Pure.

Knit dress

I am done, done, done! I can't believe it! This dress was occupying all my time besides my day job - hence the blog silence and a hungry husband. I literally haven't cooked for days :) Pure is a gift of knitting for my dear friend who will give it to her dear friend! I call it the ripple effect. If you read my first post on this dress, you know how stressful I was not to finish it or fail to find the proper measurements. I still haven't seen it on the recipient, but I have a feeling it will definitely fit her. I hope so! This project was a challenge, ripped out 3 times, but once finished it gave me so much more confidence in my craft. I would really love to thank all of you and each of you for cheering me up, encouraging and showing so much support! You are amazing!

Project Notes

Ravelry Page. Pure Dress. The notes include all posts on this dress listed in order.

Pattern. Mine. As I mentioned before I literally saw the design in my dream. The fact that it looks exactly how I envisioned it seems absolutely surreal to me.

Knitting machine. The dress was knit on Silver Reed LK150, stitch dial for the hem – 3.5, stitch dial for the main body – 4.

Yarn. 100% cotton. Yarn details can be found here - New Dress Is On The Way.

Fit. A tapered boat-neck body with a straight skirt.

Color. My initial intention was to knit a simple solid neutral color dress, but after I saw this white block of color in my dream, I changed the design. And I think this little color detail "makes" the dress.

Neckline is trimmed with single crochet. I "put" small pikos on it which add nice finishing touch. I love how delicate they are.
