Happy Sunday! After some gloomy and chilly January days, I was lucky to catch one of the most amazing, how I call it, honey sunsets. It is my very own place of power, after being there, even for just 10 minutes, I feel like my body relaxes and my head clears up and my heart is filled with gratitude. Cold waters breaking against the majestic rock formations, this roaring sound and the smell of the ocean. It is truly amazing how my body feels like it belongs here, I did not grow up anywhere near the water, but after living on the California coast for 5 years, I physically feel the need to be touch the ocean at least once a week. I would like to take you on a visual walk with me today, hope you will enjoy!
Have a beautiful day today!

There is something very special about the winter light on the ocean. Perhaps it is the angle of the sun due to the time of year. No matter how bright the day is, you just know it isn’t hot! I love going to the beach in winter. Our beach has been Assateague Island, which is a barrier Island off the shore of Maryland and Virginia. Mostly flat, with some dunes towards the shore, although the amount of dunes depends on the aftermath of the preceding hurricane season. Barrier islands are constantly changing from season to season. So you absorb and savor what you see now, knowing when you come again the beaches will have changed.
Thank you for sharing, Elizabeth! It is such a special feeling to walk along the coast, something that makes you happy and sad at the same time…
Stunning photos Alina.
Thank you, dear Akiba!
So very beautiful with those golden colours – I can well understand how you feel uplifted by this coastline. Those rocks are like dinosaurs – all spiny, bending down to the water to drink. A place of imagination and inspiration 🙂
Thank you, dear Katherine! It does feel surreal sometimes to look at those rock formations! So inspiring!
