I love routine. Love waking up at the same time every morning while it is still dark, lit up a candle, stretch, knit, go to work… Love this familiar rhythm of days filled with simple little things that warm your heart. But sometimes there is nothing better than to wake up on your day off and decide to chase a sun. Jump in the car, turn on your favorite music and climb in the darkness up the hills to meet a new day, be in awe with nature and infinitely grateful…

So true. You were in Baja? Did a long road trip there once. Long ago.

I like the idea of lighting a candle on dark mornings. Going to try that. Might help me get out of bed!

I am in my beloved Baja 🙂 It is so weird how different it is from my home, but how connected I feel to this place… Candle light is soft and calming – perfect way to wake up!

Beautiful morning light. I love chasing sunrises (or sunsets) but mostly do that on holidays. Right now they happen still a bit too early for me to wake up naturally but soon it will be the perfect time to wake up all by myself.

There is something about this borderline between day and night that makes my heart sing… Wish you all the best sunrises soon, dear Corinne!!

you are my secret twin! I love to get up super early and do most of my journaling (and praying) before the start of the day. I have such nice days that way. The photos are spectacular!

Gorgeous pictures, Alina. Beautiful landscapes. It makes my heart hurt just a little – wondering what it must be like to live near such remarkable landscapes. I think I understand what you mean about feeling connected to a place that is so different from where you are from. A city-girl, I feel something akin to homesickness every time I drive into forested areas. I feel like I belong there, somehow. Sigh.
