Friday Knitting and Crochet Inspiration. Alberta Ferretti & Gucci.

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week and are ready to spend some weekend time with yarn and needles/crochet hook. Let’s take a look at some new knitwear pieces that appeared in Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2016 and Gucci Pre-Spring/Summer 2016 collections.

The first look that caught my eye is the combination of a simple classic sweater and a long quiet dramatic skirt with gorgeous embroidery. I love this hoodie-cowl! I think it drapes beautifully when put down and can be a great alternative for a hat.

One more piece from Ferretti’s collection that makes me fall in love with fiber crafts deeper and deeper. It looks like some ribbon knitting and embroidery was used in this stunning dress. The look can be easily recreated with long slipped stitches.

Gucci is no less inspiring. At first I didn’t even realize that I was looking at a crochet piece!

And of course I couldn’t miss a white crochet dress in this collection! It is quiet an unusual combination of a romantic crochet lace and sport knit neckline. The body of a dress can be recreated with square crochet motifs.

Have a great creative weekend!

Such a simple idea, isn’t it? Looks so cozy, especially if knit in a bulky yarn!

That sweater/cowl combo looks very doable. Love the simple modern look of the ribbing combined with that gorgeous skirt. Yet it also has a medieval, suit of armor vibe to it too. Would work well with some killer black jeans and leather knee high boots. Filing this one in my knit dreams folder for sure 🙂
