February. Adiós.

February is gone...

Knitting Blog Monthly

February said its goodbye with a soft evening light yesterday.

February Crafty Notes

Number of WIPs is growing, still no FOs, but I am getting there. I feel like March will welcome a couple of FOs, finally!

Ok, here is my month's progress.

- Crochet project. I am done with the back! As all numbers for shaping are done (almost broke my head, figuring it out!), I can totally relax and keep working on the front just following the pattern.

Crochet

- The dress is off the knitting machine and needs to be put together. I want to add some nice crochet details to it, so a lot of handwork is still to be done. I hope my friend will love it.

- I am at the waist level with my St. Brigid. So far all the modifications are working out.

 - Something exciting and oh-so-delicious came in mail this week. Wool and The Gang, I've been waiting for you! Well, welcome to my WIP list. I just can't wait. I have to cast it on. But! Deep End has to wait, unfortunately. Oh, we, knitters, are so inconstant! But I can't let myself slip down the WIP black hole, they say you can never come back from there...

Other news. March is promising to be a very exciting month! One of the reasons I started blogging is the fact that I am a lonely knitter/crocheter. I don't know anybody in my town who knits or crochets. Forget about good yarn stores or knitting/crochet live classes, events, etc. Blog allows me to connect with inspiring bloggers, knitters, crocheters, weavers, all kinds of fiber people. What I love the most about crafting is how international it is! The whole world is in crafty spirit. How amazing is that!

This month I decided to use my language skills and talked with two fascinating women, whose careers I have been following for quiet a while. Next Sunday I will feature inspiring Jannetta in what I hope to be regular series World Crafters. World Crafters are people who make things in different parts of the world. Some turned their hobby into a profession, some are balancing a day job with small crafty business, some chose to keep their hobby and just enjoy making, creating and giving. Next Sunday our first World Crafter is taking us to Greece! Don't miss it :)

I wish you creative and inspiring March. It's spring!

P.S. I joined Twitter this week. I know, I think I am the last in the world. I am still figuring it out. My username is  @giftofknitting.
