Summer Gifts + Free Wallpapers

Knitting Blog

Happy Friday! This week I was going through summer photos and found some hidden treasures from our August road trip. As hot and humid summer is gone, I wanted to save these images that remind me of salty air, hot, almost burning wind and the sound of waves crushing… I hope you will enjoy this little visual story today. I also prepared for you a set of downloadable wallpapers for your desktop and a phone. I wanted to do it for a long time, please, let me know if you like the idea 🙂

And now, off to California west coast… You can turn on Sigur Rós for the perfect mood.

Gifts Of Life. At Dawn

Knitting Blog

I love routine. Love waking up at the same time every morning while it is still dark, lit up a candle, stretch, knit, go to work… Love this familiar rhythm of days filled with simple little things that warm your heart. But sometimes there is nothing better than to wake up on your day off and decide to chase a sun. Jump in the car, turn on your favorite music and climb in the darkness up the hills to meet a new day, be in awe with nature and infinitely grateful…

Life, Color and Textures

Knitting Blog Textures

Happy July! I hope you haven’t lost me. 🙂 Amid some personal turmoil, day job and many missed deadlines, I felt like I needed a break and step away from the online presence for awhile. Though I didn’t post much in June, I was still working on several projects – there has been a lot of behind the scenes knitting going on that I am sure I’ll be able to share with you in the new knitting season.

Now I feel revived and ready to come back to weekly blogging. I thought celebrating it with the splash of color and textures from my latest trip to one of the local farms.

I was so inspired by this place that is a true hidden gem – small family farm covered in mango trees and all kinds of vegetables and greens. The taste of fresh oranges cannot be compared to any supermarket produce!!! I will definitely keep supporting this hardworking family!

And with that I will leave you with colorful and juicy images of this magical oasis.

May Textures and Colors

Knitting Blog Textures

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Today I am sharing with you nature’s textures and colors that I was inspired by this month. I decided to do it regularly, creating a visual diary that I and, hopefully, you will come back to whenever you need a smile on your face or a reminder that life is beautiful in all its forms 🙂 I am so grateful to knitting for teaching me how to notice small little things and see the beauty in details. I hope this short post will bring some joy to your Sunday morning!

that for aeons have
blown ancient rocks,
you are purest space

Gifts of Life. Inspiration.

Knitting Blog. Textures.

Happy Monday! This Saturday was my first real day off in a very very long time and I allowed myself to stop running for a while, look around and accept all the gifts of life that surround me. I would love to share with you these little gifts that I “collected” during the last weeks that have been inspiring me and making me happy.

Textures of nature. I can look at the rock patterns forever – mesmerizing details!

Life is humbly trying to get through…

Favorite photographer of a month is definitely Dylan Furst (@fursty) – his images wake something inside of me and inspire me in so many ways!

Music. My find of the month is magical Julien Baker and her “Sprained Ankle” album – it feels like her voice is reaching inside of you and taking out the best. Very deep and moving!

Knitting. I’ve just finished a very big project and happy to move forward with my Moeke 2017 collection. New cozy sweater is on the needles! It it took me two dozen swatches to come up with the idea that I love, so right now I am really enjoying the actual knitting process. I don’t know how I will wait until August to share it with you, but the good news is that I have some fun summer projects planned.

I hope you enjoyed my little gifts of life and maybe will borrow some of them, just to make life brighter 🙂

Have a wonderful week!
