The Gift Of Knitting - Fall Raglan.

FO - Fall Raglan.

I am sorry for the silence this Friday, our Internet got cut off.

Last week we went for a little family walk on one of the sunny afternoons. It is my favorite time of the day when soft light gives everything around a honey shade... My Fall Raglan pullover is a gift to myself :) It was a true gift to get to work with this incredible yarn, to experiment with top-down construction and to finally wear it! I know everybody is crazy holiday knitting right now, but as we are so far away from our family and friends, I really don't have anybody to knit for. Some selfish knitting time is always good for the soul, right?I absolutely love wearing this sweater - soft, comfy and so perfectly casual. I have a feeling I will be wearing it non-stop.top down raglan pulloverOf all of us, our guy enjoyed the walk the most and seemed to get into as many photos as possible! So, here he is, our Ezra.top down raglan pulloverI know he looks intimidating, but with us he is a sweetheart, well, most of the time :) It was his birthday this week, so send him best wishes! We put 16th of November as his birthday, but we have no idea when he was born exactly - Ezra was found in a shelter, in freezing -30C, sick and barely walking. You can't tell it right now - he looks bigger than I am :)top down raglan pulloverAnyway, he turned 6 and I can't believe it! Where did the time go?!! (Oh, can you see how the side light accentuates these little "bumps" on the sweater? Love, love this texture!!!)top down raglan pulloverSo, back to the sweater. It really feels like I am wearing a spider web - the fabric is really light, though usually cotton feels heavier. I want to research as much as I can about pima cotton, I am falling in love with it deeper and deeper. My Riviera Skirt, also made from this fiber is holding shape perfectly, didn't stretch or grow in length at all! And it's been around 9 months since I finished it!top down raglan pullover

I adore these little soft bumps created by the uneven thickness of the yarn. The sweater feels alive!

Well, I am extremely happy with my sweater! I think you can tell :)
