Mauve Mohair Sweater

I very rarely get to recreate my own designs after they have been published, but this year I had a chance to come back to my Mohair Flor pattern and reknit all over again. This project is almost a year long, knit during the lockdown and patiently waiting for his recipient. I made some changes in the look of the sweater - the original Mohair Flor has a wider neckline, so you can slip it off your shoulder, but to this Mauve Mohair Flor I added a 1x1 ribbing neckline for a more closed look. I used the original yarn Take Care Mohair by Wool and the Gang in Misty Mauve shade. It is the perfect option when you want to add a little bit of color, but in a very subtle neutral way.

The sweater turned out to be just like the original one - soft, airy, almost weightless and extremely warm. I hope this photo journal below captures the pure coziness of it. There is something about the sunset light and the mohair’s halo that makes me fall in love with knitwear over and over again.

Have a great start of the week!
