Knitwear Review. London FW, Spring/Summer 2020

Knitwear reviewHappy Monday! I am continuing my Spring/Summer 2020 knitwear reviews from fashion weeks with London. British designers didn't present a lot of knitwear this time, but what was shown definitely confirmed that London fashion weeks is always the most experimental and edgy.London wouldn't be London if it didn't rethink the conventional forms and shapes of knitwear. Why not to break the knit dress in half with the buttons closure (Toga show), or why not make drastic cut-outs and attach the chains to them (Toga) and why sleeves have to be just for arms and not be a part of the main body (Fashion East)?Knitwear reviewYou will also find various embellishments in form of silk ribbons (Molly Goddard), exaggerated fringe (JW Anderson) and giant cotton balls (Fashion East).Knitwear reviewKnitwear review

JW Anderson presented a small collection of cozy knit dresses "with the twist".

Knitwear reviewKnitwear reviewOne of the most interesting (construction and color work wise) dress was presented by Kiko Kostadinov fashion house. Ribbing, striping, fabric gathering, extra layers - you will all of it in one piece. Looks like a knit puzzle.Knitwear reviewMarques'Almeida and Christopher Kane continued the total color look tendency from New York fashion week. The designers are playing on the contrast of fabrics and textiles.Knitwear review

Marysia created beach crochet pieces that are easy to throw on with your swimsuit.
