Friday Knitting Inspiration. Beril Çiçek.

Happy Friday! Before getting to the traditional weekend inspiration, I would love to take a moment to thank you for all your kind comments on my last post. I am so grateful for your support and encouragement and can't wait to share the pattern with you this weekend. The giveaway for a copy is still open, so jump right in - Mystery Pattern Giveaway!

This week I am inspired by the furniture collection 2012 by Turkish designer Beril Çiçek.

interior knittingAfter her trip to Iceland, the designer was so inspired by the knitting traditions of this country, that decided to recreate it in her interior furniture collection. Beril is a graduate of Bilkent University in Interior Architecture & Environmental Design. The use of wool and wood in her work reflects her passion for environment friendly materials.interior knittingThe collection is called "Ull" and features cables, colorwork and textured stitch patterns. Before opening a cabinet, you have to "undress" it first. Huge wooden buttons are the finishing touch in this amazing collection. I would totally keep my yarn in these cabinets! I also think it is such perfect furniture for yarn stores!interior knitting

Knitting possibilities are really bottomless, aren't they?

Have a great creative weekend!
