Amber sweater – textured, slightly oversized, cable sweater. Basically, everything I love in Fall/Winter knitwear. The project idea was born in summer, while I was still in Russia. I remember sitting in my Granny’s countryside cabin and swatching with this delicious wool. It was raining outside and I could smell fresh cottage cheese pancakes in the kitchen… Pure bliss!
I finished the sweater in September and during these last weeks was watching how it was growing on my wonderful test knitters’ needles. I plan to publish the pattern this Sunday and it will make me really happy to see your versions of it this winter. Knit on size 7 needles, it is a pretty quick knit, with the fun textured stitches and generous voluminous cables!
Daughter yarn was made to knit the texture – each stitch is so clear and crispy. The yarn creates the fabric that also keeps the form really well, so over the time the cables won’t stretch the fabric and the sweater won’t grow.
I love every single detail of this sweater – I poured my heart and soul into it. Happy to add it to The Gift Of Knitting Designs family!
Thank you for being here! Have a wonderful day today!
